Most of our vacation homes are offering the option to purchase Tenant Damage Insurance in lieu of a Security Deposit. Some homes are not offering this option.
Unless Owner does not allow Tenant the option, Tenant may purchase tenant damage insurance coverage in the amount of $1,500.00 in lieu of making a security deposit. This insurance covers Owner for Tenant’s accidental damages to Owner’s property if Tenant discloses the damage on or before departure. Intentional damage, gross negligence, natural disasters, certain thefts, and other exclusions are listed in the document detailing coverage that Tenant will be provided upon purchase of the insurance which governs the terms thereof. AIG Travel Guard. Also, a copy of the document detailing coverage can be found on Agents website or can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed upon request. This insurance cannot be purchased after Tenant has made a final payment. The non-refundable premium for tenant damage insurance is $45.00 plus tax.
