2014 Outer Banks Taste of the Beach-Amazing!

What at amazing weekend it's shaping up to be on the Outer Banks. The 2014 version of the Taste of the Beach is in full swing, there's a car show at First Flight High School and, of course, Kelly's St. Patrick's Day Parade tomorrow in on the Beach Road in Nags Head.He at Joe Lamb Realty we hosted yesterday's Barbecue Cookoff at the Sea Ranch Resort in Kill Devil Hills. It was a little bit chilly, but the sun was out, Jonny Waters and Friends were kicking out some awesome tunes and the barbecue was AMAZING.Tough to pick out a personal favorite, although the pulled pork from Crazy Johnny's down in Buxton truly stood out, the ribs from Darryl's in Manteo (and soon to have a second location in Nags Head) were as close to perfection as you could get and the pork belly slider from Coastal Provisions was a homerun. There's something like 70 events scheduled over four days, so no one can get to everything, although a visit to the OBX Chowder Cookoff today was lots of fun. Tough to say what was the best there, either.
