Spring Has Sprung at Last on the Outer Banks

In our last blog we wrote that even though the weather was still questionable, spring was truly on the way. Well, as of today, we can officially say that spring is here.

OK . . . for sticklers for detail, spring actually began two days ago, but with brilliant sunshine for the past few days and temperatures hovering around 70 today, yup . . . spring is here.

There were surfers out on the beach, a walk around Sandy Run Park in Kitty Hawk was filled with signs of the renewal of life and you could finally wear shirts and a t-shirt without people looking at you as though you were crazy.

It looks as though it is going to cool down again, but at least thereâåÛåªs no snow in the forecast, by the end of next week, we should be back at normal temperatures for this time of the year.

For folks heading this was next weekend--First Flight High School in Kill Devil Hills is putting on Legally Blond-the Play. The school has a well-deserved reputation for putting on some really good productions. Could be a good one to see.
