Guest comment form July 2012: The home was wonderful. I had to look for hours at all the OBX rentals listed as handicapped friendly and had given up on finding something that would work for us. I was so excited when we found Shindigs on the Joe Lamb website. My 19 year old daughter is in a wheelchair and unless you live with someoen in a wheeelchair, you don't really have any idea what is wheelchair accessible. Last year we rented a house and she couldn't get into the pool area - the gate wasn't wide enough, nor could she get on any of the decks. This house--Shindigs--was WONDERFUL!! She loved the pool and was on all the decks along with everyone else. The Master bedroom gave us plenty of room to get around with our hoyer lift and the bathroom was a dream. We had a great time and hope to rent the unit many more times. Thank you for creating a truely wheelchair accessible vacation home.
