From humble beginnings in the late 1960's Joe Lamb Jr. & Associates has grown into a market leader in the Vacation Rental and Sales Industry. Joe Lamb Jr. and his family have played a vital and intricate role in the Outer Banks Community for decades. Over the past 50+ years, Joe Lamb Jr. & Associates has worked diligently to help promote the Outer Banks for the amazing beach and family vacation destination that it is, helping to increase tourism in the area and grow our beautiful community.

Joe Lamb Jr. & Associates is a shining example of a locally owned and operated small business. We have established our roots on the Outer Banks and have only continued to grow and flourish throughout the community. Our company began on the basis of family values and it continues to flourish because we honor those principles of trust, loyalty, & tradition. We take great pride in the influence that we have on our community and strive to uphold it with the highest respect. In 2018 Joe and Ann Lamb were honored by the Dare County Board of Commissioners for their outstanding achievements in the Real Estate Business and in the Outer Banks Community. They were awarded a certificate of appreciation for their 50 years of exemplary service to their clients, employees and community. Also in 2018 the Outer Banks Board Association of Realtors (OBAR) presented Joe and Ann Lamb with the Good Neighbor Award.


Joe Lamb Jr. is a large contributor to local education programs and fundraisers throughout the Dare County School System. Education is a keystone value of the Lambs. Since 2007, the Joe and Ann Lamb Scholarship is available to students who have been accepted to UNC Chapel Hill, with preference going to Dare County students first, then students from other North Carolina counties. Community and education are extremely important to the Lamb family which is why they have played such an important role in establishing. They are a part of the prestigious Presidents Club at COA and employees actively participate in community fundraisers and events. Most recently Joe and Ann Lamb established a scholarship fund at East Carolina University.

The Outer Banks is very rich in history and at the forefront is the long standing Roanoke Island Historical Association. We work together with this organization to ensure future generations can both learn, and enjoy Outer Banks history through support of the The Lost Colony which is one of America's greatest and longest running outdoor dramas. It has captivated young and old for over 80 years. Joe Lamb Jr. & Associates is proud to be a long time sponsor of this wonderful, uniquely local venue for the performing arts. The allure of the mystery that revolves around what happened to the English settlers and Native Americans of the Lost Colony has been the focus of recent historical significance.

We are also proud to be a Corporate Sponsor The Elizabethan Gardens on Roanoke Island. Their commitment to educational programs for locals and visitors is impressive. The volunteer staff, garden club members and Board of Governors work tirelessly to maintain this beautiful botanical garden for us all to enjoy and appreciate.

The Outer Banks  Woman's Club has been a part of the OBX for nearly 50 years. Mrs. Ann Lamb was a founding member of the club when it was chartered in 1971. The OBWC affiliation also coincides with the Angel Gift Program, which makes Christmas happen for less fortunate families on the Outer Banks as well as many community service projects. We proudly support the Dare County Art Council and encourage the arts and art education. Joe Lamb Jr. & Associates is also a proud sponsor Mano al Hermano,  a non-profit organization determined to help children succeed by providing a year round tutor for their "Family Literacy Program".

The Dare County Relay for Life is one of the largest area fund raising events dedicated to help find prevent and find a cure for cancer. This annual American Cancer Society event brings together communities across the world to celebrate those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones, and take part in the fight to end cancer once and for all. Joe Lamb Jr. has been a sponsor since 2004 The Outer Banks Relief Foundation has become one of the OBX's most important charities, and Joe Lamb Jr. walks hand in hand together every year as a sponsor of the Couture by the Shore fundraiser held each May.

The Outer Banks Community Foundation supports Dare County locals in need. They are a public charity designed to help meet local's needs across the OBX. The Foundation achieves their goal by raising awareness, managing charitable funds for local citizens and Outer Banks agencies, and through grants and donations.

The Outer Banks is no stranger to wildlife and has become and top sea turtle nesting area. Joe Lamb Jr. is always there to lend a hand with N.E.S.T. and employees volunteer. Joe Lamb Jr. & Associates is also a Boardwalk Sponsor for Jockey's Ridge State Park. This state park is the largest sand dune on the east coast and an icon of OBX history and preservation. It boasts a unique ecosystem and is an absolute treasure.  We are proud to be a part of this tradition and you can see our plaque located on the Jockeys Ridge Boardwalk.

As an island community, we support many organizations unique to the local marine environment. The area is known as the best location on the East Coast for surfing, and with that title comes responsibility. Joe Lamb Jr. is a proud member of the Surf Riders Foundation which takes great pride in their dedication to the protection and enjoyment of the oceans and beaches worldwide. The Dare County Boat Builders Foundation is a non-profit, which aims to preserve one of Dare County's most important pieces of heritage, boat building. The DCBBF raises funds for scholarships and awards them to students who plan to pursue a degree or program of study of education related to the marine industry.
