The floor plan of this house is great. The pool is perfectly positioned to receive sunlight all day. The location is within a short walking distance of a beach access, Dare Devils Pizza, Bonzer Shack, CVS and Five Guys. Other restaurants and shopping are close by. The Tropics has been a family tradition for 11 years. We lovingly refer to it as "The Yellow House".

We had a wonderful week in OBX at The Tropics from 7/5 - 7/12. The location was a quick 3 min walk to the sand and a convenient location to restaurants and shops. The house was spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This house was perfect for our family! It was our first time renting a place with a pool and that was certainly a plus. The house itself is beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was plenty of seating for us all in the kitchen and living room. The property was within walking distance of lots of shops and eating places.

If you like island or beach themed then you will love this house. It is absolutely beautiful and clean. Check in and out were very easy and simple. Every light switch is labeled, making it easy. Very short walk to the beach. Or you can drive and park for free. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying here again in the future.

This is a comfortable home with a terrific pool perfectly located near restaurants, beach access and shopping in a surprisingly quiet spot.

This house is just amazing, the online pictures does not do this house justice. It is even better in person, it had plenty of room plus some. The beach access is a short walk but there are steps at each end which made it harder to carry somethings, which we adjusted what we took to the beach the rest of the trip. The pool was nice and refreshing after walking back from beach or just hanging out when taking a break from the beach with our toddler. We will definitely be back to The Tropics!

The Tropics is a beautiful, clean home in a PERFECT location! The pool is on the larger side for a beach rental and provided a refreshing escape after a day on the beach. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a beach house within a very short walking distance to public access!
