Being right on the sand made this the perfect place for my family. Our young children were able to wake up in the morning and go out to the beach and we could watch them from the window while cooking breakfast and getting everything ready for the day. Same thing after we got home from dinner, they could go back out for a bit while we fed the baby. No more lugging a beach wagon a quarter mile to get onto the sand, like we've done in years past in Hilton Head. Also, this part of the beach doesn't get very busy, so we were never restricted in what we could do. When we were on the beach, we played our music, threw a football, and played other games without ever being near another family's beach camp. I can't overstate what a difference it makes to have constant access to the beach. The deck is beautiful (it looks and feels brand new) and the views from the deck are better than surrounding homes, because the grass has not overgrown on the dunes to obscure the view and the deck comes out a little closer to the beach. We did a seafood boil, threw a tablecloth over the outdoor table, and spread all the food out on the tablecloth and feasted. There's an awesome glider with cup holders that everyone relaxed on while watching dolphins and surfers in the water. There's also a foot washing station as soon as you come up from the beach. The area itself is very peaceful but there is an exceptional coffee shop and bakery within walking distance. The drive to the hustle and bustle of Nags Head for go karts was super easy and the drive to Manteo for the aquarium wasn't bad. If you need a family-friendly restaurant with a unique and delicious menu and perfect service, South of KDG was awesome. There was plenty of parking at the house for 3 bigger cars (a Sienna, an F150, and a Wagoneer). It was easy to get to the grocery stores. We did laundry in the unit the day before we left, which made it easier to pack everything up. Plenty of pots and pans, plates, bowls, and utensils for cooking in the unit. Getting in and out was super easy and the company was easy to reach if we needed anything

The house had a beautiful view. However, the kitchen was not stocked with basics for a Thanksgiving dinner. No can opener. Very sparse dinnerware like bowls and glasses (maybe 3 water glasses). 3 wine glasses. No serving platters of any type. Broom was hidden in a closet with no door handle. Reading lamps in one room for reading would be nice. Dual fan and light in the bathroom were annoying. Confused on beach access, no easy route/steps. Would have been nice to know at point of rental.

Be careful if you have a little ones. You can’t access the beach directly from the house. It has a great view. But you must walk down a busy road a tiny bit to get to the beach.

Home is freshly remodeled and pleasant. There are two design issues- the center of the driveway is full of sand and appears to have no concrete

Beautiful renovated rental right on the beach. You are yards from the ocean! The home is open and the views are incredible. You are centrally located and very close to great restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and Target. You will not be disappointed!

"Perfect location on the beach". The newly renovated property was very clean and great place to spend a few days with close friends. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises from the deck each morning and afternoon happy hours on the beach front. Will want to bring some of your own supplies for the kitchen. Will definitely go back.

We loved our long weekend at Deja View! The House was perfect. You could not ask to be any closer to the beach or the water, beach was not crowded, and we really enjoyed the KDH area
