3/16/26: This cottage has been elevated on a new foundation for the 2026 season. The additional elevation enhances the already exceptional Ocean and Beach views. New siding, new roof, new west side sun deck, and new enclosed outside shower have been completed.

The living area boasts large picture windows, and the ocean front deck is ideal for watching the sunrise over the Atlantic. This is a nicely decorated Oceanfront Home that is perfect for a small family or a romantic escape. Situated just above the Beach w/Excellent Views, this home has a sand path that leads directly to the ocean.

Conveniently located across from a popular beach grille, Art's Place, and one of the area’s top restaurants, Ocean Boulevard. The Sea Scape Golf Links are only two blocks away so don't forget your clubs.

Ground Level: Parking for 2 Cars, Steps to Sun Deck, Entry, Enclosed Outside Shower, and Gas Grill.

Main Level: Living/Dining/Kitchen Area, Flat Screen TV, 2 Bedrooms (1 w/Queen, TV; 1 w/Double, TV), Full Bath w/Shower, and Sun Deck w/Furniture and Beautiful Ocean and Beach Views.

Features include: C/AC-Heat, Refrigerator, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Microwave, 3 TVs, Gas Grill, Wireless Internet, and Ceiling Fans. No Pets Allowed. No Smoking Allowed.

Beach Nourishment

Beach nourishment projects are necessary for preserving our community. Currently, beach nourishment activities are occurring in Nags Head and South Nags Head. Follow along with the progress by visiting https://www.darenc.gov/government/beach-nourishment/upcoming-projects.

Future projects are planned for Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, and Kill Devil Hills in 2027. Depending on the timing and location of your stay, beach conditions, access, project activities may vary and are subject to change without notice.

We’ve stayed at the Terra Mar four times so far and I can’t recommend it enough. This is the perfect vacation house for a couple or small family. There are fabulous ocean views from almost every room. The deck is my favorite spot for watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee while also getting to experience the parade of pelicans that regularly fly by and dolphins! There’s also a hammock under the house for a quiet spot to read out of the sun. The house is the perfect size and appointed with everything you need for your home away from home during your beach getaway.

We’ve stayed at the Terra Mar 4 years ago in a row and it is the perfect vacation home for a couple or a small family. It was recently raised and the view can’t be beat! The house is warm and inviting with fantastic ocean views from every room. The new hammock under the house is also great to get out of the sun for some quiet time with a good book. Spending the morning watching the sun rise on the deck with a cup of coffee, watching the parade of pelicans and dolphins, is a highlight. We will definitely return again.

My sister and I vacation in OBX every year and this was our first time staying at Terra Mar. The house is adorable, well decorated with a beach theme, and the deck is the BEST part - gorgeous sunrises, the dolphins swimming by, pelicans flying right overhead and all the other water fowl we always see. It is across the street from Art's Place where we had a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this house!
