You can't go wrong with Windi Shores. It's the perfect getaway for a small family or couple within steps of the ocean. Unbelievable sunrises as the waves release the stress from everyday life. Lots of daily visitors, dolphins, pelicans, ospreys, vaious gulls and plovers. We even caught a glimpse of whales offshore on our last day. I would not hesitate to rent the beautiful quaint cottage, you won't regret it!

Some of the blinds don’t work as expected. The roll up blind on the side door doesn’t roll on its own. The vertical blinds in living room are not smooth. All small things - overall the place was perfect

You will enjoy Windishores! The sunrises are spectacular and home is small 2 bedrooms but sleeps at least 6. You will love its nostalgic atmosphere with an amazing kitchen. The home is not big but its pack full of great features!

We love the covered porch on very sunny afternoons or on rainy days. It is our favorite spot to watch the ever-changing ocean, the pelicans, and an occasional dolphin.

The best feature of this beach house is the excellent covered two-sided porch and the tall porch chairs on which to sit. We absolutely loved that part of our experience.

I have vacationed in this charming beach cottage for the past three years and plan to revisit again in 2025. Love the oceanfront covered porch as well as just a few steps from the cottage to set up chairs on the beach to bask in the sun!!!!

Windishores is a treasure to discover on the Outer Banks if you have not been lucky enough to stay there yet! It is perfect for small families and anyone who enjoys staying in one of the cottages built in or before the 1950's. Its location on the ocean is wonderful for quick trips out to the beach to sunbathe and play in the surf and sand

This is the best equipped home that I have rented in the OBX…and the deck is phenomenal- there are spots to sit when it is very windy and you are sheltered from the rain. Thank you for the experience. I will rent this home again in the future-if available!

We found 492 to be perfect for two adults with small children. The property is well maintained and the amenities are up to date. I believe it important to rest after a day at the beach and the sleeping amenities ensured a good night rest.

Well furnished home. We really enjoyed the covered porch and furniture. You will not find another OBX rental as close to the oceanfront! Would definitely stay here again. Eating in the dining room you feel like you are on the beach!

This home is just perfect for a couple or two or a small family. It's location is great and convenient to so many great restaurants. The view cannot be beat. You are steps away from the ocean and the wrap around deck is amazing! It's a great house!
