Watch the waves roll in while your family enjoys the sandy beach located just out your door. A Sun Deck w/Furniture runs the full length of the home and is ideal for spotting a pod of Dolphin as they playfully swim by. Situated in the peaceful atmosphere of South Nags Head, the area is mainly residential but close enough to be convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, Outer Banks Fishing Pier and the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center.

Ground Level: Parking for 4 Cars, Steps to Entry, and Enclosed Outside Shower.

Main Level: Living/Dining/Kitchen Area, TV, 4 Bedrooms (2 w/Queens, TVs, 1 w/Duo Bunk, TV, 1 w/2 Singles), 2 Full Baths, Laundry Area, and Access to Oceanfront Sun Deck w/Deck Furniture and Fantastic Beach and Ocean Views.

Features include: C/AC and Heat, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Microwave, Waffle Maker, Keurig Coffee Maker, 4 TVs, and Wireless Internet. Two Mature Dogs Allowed. No Smoking Allowed.

Beach Nourishment Beach Nourishment

Beach nourishment projects are necessary for preserving our community. Currently, beach nourishment activities are occurring in Nags Head and South Nags Head. Follow along with the progress by visiting https://www.darenc.gov/government/beach-nourishment/upcoming-projects.

Future projects are planned for Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, and Kill Devil Hills in 2027. Depending on the timing and location of your stay, beach conditions, access, project activities may vary and are subject to change without notice.

You cannot beat this view!! All 1 level is great with 2 BR on ec side for privacy. A plus is the deck acts like a gazebo when you want shade on the beach ❤️ 😍

This is a great small home that is beautifully decorated! The kitchen has many utensils that you usually don’t have in a rental. And if you want to be ocean front, you are literally on the ocean.

If you are looking for a cozy very clean and well equipped house on the oceanfront Dophin Lookout is perfect in every way, beautiful views of the sunrise and breaking waves. The house is well equipped with beach fun games for inside and out side play. We had the best time and will be back next year.

Perfect location. You can't get any better than this if oceanfront is your goal. The waves come right under the house at high tide. A lovely and charming home that is immaculate and well-stocked. We loved our stay and didn't want to leave. Will definitely be back next year.

This was our fifth year staying at Dolphin Lookout. You just can’t beat the proximity to the beach. You look out and see and hear the waves crashing on shore. No huge dune to climb over which was very important to my 70 year old knees. The house is nicely furnished. We’ll keep coming back.

Can't beat the location. There are many homes that say oceanfront, but this house is only steps from the surf. We ate crabs on the deck while watching dolphins do complete flips out of the water. Just can't get any better than that!

Dolphin Lookout is a beautiful home right on the beach. And it certainly lives up to its name as we saw dolphins multiple times a day, every day. The split layout was perfect for our 2 families with plenty of room for everyone in the shared spaces. The home had everything we needed and the beach toys and boogie boards were much appreciated. This home will be going on our list of favorites in the OBX.

The location is amazing! We saw dolphins from the deck nearly every day. The kitchen is well stocked and we appreciated the shed with beach equipment. Plenty of seating in the living room and we loved the deck!

The location of the house was spectacular. The only down fall for us as older adults were the step steps to access the house and bring up all our luggage.
The deck was awesome and the house other than the bedroom closets were spacious enough. Over all the house was great.

Love the whole feel of the house. Nicely decorated. House was adorable and set right on the beach. Very well furnished and decorated. Loved everything about it. Just note there is no ice maker in the refrigerator but that is just a minor inconvenience. Very private and quiet neighborhood.
