The house was in need of a lot of basic maintenance...the entrance doors windows were taped to keep them from dislodging, broken glass and other small trash littered entry walkway, two bathrooms towel racks were damaged, screen door missing, ground level bedroom door fell off jamb, cockroaches were around fireplace, TV/ internet wasn't working upon check in but resolved. Very disappointed, not what we expected from a joe lamb property.

This is a beautiful home! Very spacious and well appointed. There was also plenty of silverware, pots, pans, etc. And lots of the high deck chairs too! We have zero complaints, and will definitely rent this property again!

Castle Dunes was clean and properly equipped. Our family enjoyed this home.

We start our day with sunrise from the deck, or right on the beach, watching the dolphins. Usually with a cup of coffee in hand from the well-stocked kitchen. It's not long before some folks are in the pool, some cycle to Bodie Lighthouse, some take a chair and wander the 30 yards to the water. Lunch happens and once more people rotate activities, never straying too far from the house. Right before dinner there is usually a Beach walk to Jeanette's pier, as well as a group in the hot tub. It's all ideal really. After dinner we load up the two dish washers, reset the coffee pots for the morning, and spend the evening in the ample living room playing games, having a pool tournament downstairs, or hanging by the actual pool and hot tub. Half the fun is keeping track of sunglasses, phones (WiFi is sufficient), and sunscreen all day long!

All in all Castle Dune is well equipped, well looked after, and an ideal on-the-beach experience.

The house is nicely decorated and works perfectly for multiple families. The only down side is if you have older people who have trouble going up and down stairs as there are multiple stairs to get from the bottom level to the top level. Otherwise I would highly suggest this property to anyone looking.

This is our ninth year staying here as a family, and as we pulled into the driveway we all paused to say “wait, isn’t our house green?” (we call it our house). Loving the new blue color, we noted new deck boards and flashing underneath (nice work), the additional chairs on the upper deck where we’ve spent many hours already, several new mattresses and yay new pillows, the new TV upstairs, freshened up bathrooms, the great new pool area fence, and more! 

The time and effort spent in all these improvements has greatly enhanced the appeal of the house, changing it from “starting to age a little” to feeling fresh and new. Thanks so much for the year over year service, and for arranging great weather every year. We’re sure that was you too.   - Chris

My family of 10 adults and 9 kids spent a wonderful week at Castle Dune. The living area was spacious. The kitchen was well stocked. And the dining area seating was awesome. The pool was perfect. And having 2 dishwashers, 2washers and 2dryers was great. Lots of wonderful memories this year.
