I recently stayed at Kingfisher Cottage with some friends for a fishing trip out of Oregon Inlet. We not only had great luck with the trip catching king mackerel, blackfin tuna, and bluefin tuna, but we also had a fantastic and comfortable stay at the Kingfisher. We all enjoyed the classic charm, modern upgrades, and clean accommodations. We also appreciated the easy access to the beach to enjoy some surf fishing and a few beverages on a relatively warm day in February while listening to music and the big winter surf. This location in Kill Devil Hills is really convenient to coffee shops and restaurants. We were able to walk to a few places, including the Avalon Pier, to hang with locals this time of year. Highly recommended!
