Sadly there were issues with a bathroom door not locking, a bedroom door not shutting, another bathroom door sticking shut and not opening without GREAT effort and we were told that the homeowners did not care. The freezer was difficult to open from day one, as it would stick shut and on one occasion we had to call Joe lamb because we could not get to our food which we intended to cook for a meal. So we spent our week wrestling with these issues. Not the end of the world but definitely put a damper on our vacation. We've been, annually, visiting as a family, the Outer Banks for over 20 years and we've used Joe Lamb probably for half of those. We've come to trust them and actually look for houses that they manage & often return to the same home. But, needless to say, we will never ever return to this home again.

Attractively decorated with a great view of the ocean. The ramp was great in bringing groceries and suitcases in to and out of the unit.

This house is in the best location. Main living are is very spacious and furnished nicely. Kitchen is adequately stocked although does needs some updating. The decks are amazing and the deck furniture awesome. Beach is so close!! You will love it !!!!!!!!!! The ramp is great too !!!!!!!!

There's not much to dislike about "Sandcastle." There is plenty of common space, the kitchen is well stocked and the ramp is especially suited to our group. And, the views are stunning from the large picture windows.

Any closer to the water and you would never dry off. The great room is truly great - vaulted ceiling with spectacular view of the beach. Roomy kitchen. Four corner bedrooms and two jack-jill bathrooms all on one floor. Wheel chair ramp means handicap access, which is rare. Would rank this house #1 in the 15 or so homes (of similar size) we have rented at OBX/Nags Head.

Joe Lamb Jr provided us with excellent rental options and service from beginning to end. Every staff member was friendly, professional, and able to handle questions and concerns quickly. The communication leading up to and after the rental period was very informative. We will continue renting with this company annually, in fact they made it easy for us to make a reservation for next year before we even left OBX. Sandcastle was a perfect home away from home with amazingly close beach access.

This is a great property on the Beach ans so nicely decorated and furnished. Great with the ramp, stairs and screened in porch on the sound side for the evening sunsets. Perfect area in South Nags Head. A gem!
