Where is Southern Shores NC?

Southern Shores is located between the Town of Duck NC and Kitty Hawk NC. The town of Southern Shores is just a few miles long and can easily be mistaken as an extension of Duck or Kitty Hawk but don't let it's size fool you, Southern Shores is home to although mainly residential is full of charm and spunk! Located just north of Highway 158, this town boasts many lovely vacation rental homes and secluded beaches.

THINGS TO DO IN SOUTHERN SHORES

This quaint section of the Outer Banks encompasses many small communities and year-round residents. If you are looking for a quiet space away from it all Southern Shores is the place for you. This section does not have any public beach accesses however, all the beaches are still considered public. The Southern Shores Crossing plaza hosts a few local favorite eateries, from upscale dining to dessert and pizza. There is an escape room and a chiropractors office as well. If you're in the mood to do some shopping swing by one of the boutiques and find some local style! Renting a home in Southern Shores  is a wonderful pick for your OBX family vacation.
