Southern Shores Civic Association

The Southern Shores Civic Association is a non-profit community civic association that has been managing and preserving green spaces since 1976. Owners provide their guests access to these community resources by purchasing membership access to the SSCA common areas along the oceanfront as well as sound side parks and marinas. Parking passes are provided to guests and are required to be displayed on your dashboard while at the community areas. Some homes belong to the Tennis Club where you can challenge family members to a game.

There are 2 limited parking areas on the oceanfront. Hillcrest Beach is the larger of the two and there is a lifeguard at this access. The other small parking area is at the intersection of Duck Road (NC 12) and Ocean Boulevard. For details you can reach the SSCA office 252-261-8617 or their website is www.sscaobx.org.
