Beach nourishment projects are necessary for preserving our community. Currently, beach nourishment activities are occurring in Nags Head and South Nags Head. Follow along with the progress by visiting https://www.darenc.gov/government/beach-nourishment/upcoming-projects.

Future projects are planned for Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, and Kill Devil Hills in 2027. Depending on the timing and location of your stay, beach conditions, access, project activities may vary and are subject to change without notice.

Skipper's Watch is a great place to stay!
You can't beat the location. Just over the bridge, so you don't sit in traffic, a private beach so you don't have a lot of people on it. The house is a decent size so everyone is not on top of each other. All of the bathrooms & kitchen look new. All of the mattresses were comfortable. It has a cute back deck so you can watch the sunset. The community pool was great if the ocean was too rough or for just a dip at the end of the day. The view of the ocean from the top and & lower deck is breathtaking. The best part to me is how close the house is to the water. So easy to run back up to the house for something. We all loved this house!

This is a lovely oceanfeont duplex that is gteat for smaller groups. The owners care about their property and are making comrinual improvements to an older home. The kitchen is well stocked and has been renovated. We've stayed several times and the house has always been clean. I think this is the best property in Pelican's Watch.
